2016 Recipient of the President’s Award from the Dallas Area Local, presented by Yared Wonde.

When I was elected as Secretary/Treasurer of the Dallas Area Local in 2007, the Local had two mortgages, over used credit cards and at the brink of financial demise.  In concert with Larry Crawford and Yared Wonde, at the end of my term, the Local was debt free with over $500,000.00 in the bank with 1/3 less members than when I first was elected.

Commitment demonstrated through service.  A proud member of “The Together We Win” slate.  It is imperative to elect a group of people who are ready, willing and able to work together for the advancement of our great Union.  Disrespect, disregard and the attitude of entitlement will not serve the Organization.  Those are all self-serving attributes.

I do not profess the ability to know all or do all.  I can promise to listen, engage and most of all consider and solicit the advice and expertise of those who have the knowledge to assist me in doing a better job for the benefit of all, not a few.

I will never use status or classification (career as opposed to retired), (officer as opposed to member) to influence how I serve.  Truly “Together We Win”, is the mantra I will carry throughout my entire term of service to you.
