I have created a legacy of taking a stand and making the hard choices necessary to lead effectively.

I began working at the U.S. Postal Service in 1994 as a clerk in Cleveland, Ohio. A few years later, I became a Steward and moved on to Chief Steward, Executive Vice-President, and now currently serve as Local President and Vice-President of the Ohio Postal Workers Union.

Some of my accomplishments:

  • Improved our Local's financial and operational solvency
  • Took control of grievances and reduced the backlog
  • Provided local leadership resulting in strong community relationships and national influence
  • Formed local alliances with constituency groups (APRI, CLUW, Firefighters, Jobs with Justice)
  • Established P.O.W.E.R and Young Workers committees
  • Converted 600 PSEs
  • Consistent champion of justice issues within the workforce and in the political arena
  • Established a members only training on E.E.O. procedure, O.W.C.P., Veterans' rights
